To this end, Norway is pursuing an ambitious climate policy in partnership with the European Union and has committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40% by 2030 compared with the reference year 1990. Norway has also signed the Glasgow Declaration on Climate Action in Tourism.

The Inaugural Climate Action Summit, hosted by Tomorrow’s Air, Innovation Norway, and the Adventure Travel Trade Association, is designed for C-level and sustainability executives and climate solution innovators from the travel, climate tech, transportation, finance, energy, and media sectors. The event will offer actionable insights, foster new partnerships, and drive cooperation at the business level. The Climate Action Summit will take place from 30 October 30 to 1 November 2024, and include an overnight in the stunning Norwegian fjords aboard one of Hurtigruten’s hybrid-electric vessels.
