On the heels of the most-attended Adventure Travel World Summit to date, the Adventure Travel Trade Association is continuing the momentum for AdventureNEXT San Luis Potosí, November 29 - December 1 in the city of San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

“A regionally focused event like this truly enables us to build educational sessions from the ground up for Mexico and Latin America” says ATTA’s Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Casey Hanisko. “Focusing our agenda on the region means that every speaker is selected for their ability to hone in on key topics for Latin America. This is Latin America’s adventure tourism event, and we take that role seriously as we curate the sessions for AdventureNEXT.”

The amazing natural diversity and range of activities in San Luis Potosí, like rafting, rappelling and paddleboarding have been known to neighboring Mexican states for some time; it’s only now after improvements to the infrastructure and direct flights from the United States that travelers from other countries have begun to discover this new destination. (This year’s summer boasted an 8.5% uptick in tourism.)

Last May, AdventureNEXT debuted in Eastern Europe in Ohrid, Macedonia. Nearly 2,000 MARKETPLACE meetings were requested and each meeting match was created based on a proprietary algorithm designed to ensure the most productive meetings between local suppliers and outbound buyers. Those who will come to AdventureNEXT San Luis Potosí each have a vested interest in tourism in the region.

“From North Americans, we are witnessing a surge of interest in discovering new, adventurous destinations within Mexico” says ATTA Executive Director of Latin America, Antonio del Rosal. “And within Mexico, tour operators from the state of San Luis Potosí — and also as far as Chiapas and Baja California Sur — are all putting their best itineraries together with compelling and creative pre- and post-adventures. It’s all proof positive that Mexico’s time is, in fact, now.”

Adventure options available to AdventureNEXT delegates include making artisanal mezcal, swimming below incredible pristine waterfalls in the jungle, and cultural immersion in historical mining towns, to name several.

Registration for AdventureNEXT is limited to 300 delegates who operate or have a vested interest in adventure tourism in Mexico and Latin America. Several MARKETPLACE tables remain available for a limited time to suppliers in the region. Partnership opportunities for AdventureNEXT are available.
