Character-driven short-film series conveys brand’s vision to connect consumers with the outdoors and inspire people to “follow their own trail”

GLP Films, an award-winning film production and marketing agency, partnered with Farm to Feet, the manufacturer of the world’s best American-made socks, on an inspiring new film series, “Stories from the Supply Trail.” In three short-films, Farm to Feet connects consumers to the pulse of their brand by telling the story of four employees that have charted their own unique paths. The goal of this new series is to inspire people to connect with the outdoors and “follow their own trail.” GLP Films, specializing in sustainability storytelling, provided insight on the pulse of Farm to Feet’s workforce by spending time at all three manufacturing locations and learning about how each employee’s important work has impacted their life story.

“Stories from the Supply Trail” shares the passion and personalities knitted into Farm to Feet socks through character-driven documentary-style storytelling. Each film features employees that have a long history with Farm to Feet and have uniquely found their connection to the outdoors. One of the short-films is about Cliff Cox, the resident ironman and plant manager at Chargeurs Wool USA in Jamestown, South Carolina. Cliff has been working at the plant for 40 years, transitioning from days at a job he loves to evenings on the river in his kayak or for long rides on his bike. It’s in the outdoors where he finds his solitude, but it’s at work that he finds a sense of home - one that’s marked by familiar faces and the reliable smell of freshly pressed wool. These individual stories give strong insight into the company’s commitment to sustainable supply trails, improving outdoor recreation experiences, and protecting wild spaces.

“Farm to Feet is very excited about our new direction and strengthening our mission and vision to inspire people to follow their own trail,” said Chris Nitzsche, VP of Sales at Farm to Feet. This film series is a powerful way for us to share the strength behind that vision--the people who have built Farm to Feet into the fabric of their lives and make us the company we are today.”

“We really want to show the heart of this company and the communities where they work”, commented Rob Holmes, Founder and Chief Strategist at GLP Films. “We hope audiences connect with the characters because they truly are the faces behind Farm to Feet’s 100% American-made supply chain. There is something incredibly special about this, and these stories are important connections to America’s heritage and history in manufacturing.”

The film series is being leveraged across the outdoor industry, which started with a launch at Outdoor Retailer earlier this year. To watch Farm to Feet’s new film series, please visit farmtofeet.com.
