SNP director Gert Nieuwboer, a longtime ATTA member, last week signed the contract that made him co-owner again of the Dutch adventure tour operator SNP. SNP Natuurreizen was founded in the early 80s by a group of Dutch biologists including Nieuwboer. SNP grew to become the leading Dutch brand in walking and cycling holidays all over the world.

In 2005, the shareholders Partners in Travel Group sold the company to the ANWB, a large Dutch mobility club. Now, after 15 years, Gert was able to buy his company back with his former shareholders. SNP operates worldwide with active adventure trips serving nearly 30.000 Dutch adventure travelers every year, either in groups or self-guided. SNP is also the number one brand for sustainable travel in the Netherlands and has been operating for three years on a CO2 neutral basis.
