The Waorani Experience: This is our ultimate and most exclusive experiential tour.
For millennia, the Amazon rainforests of Ecuador, has been home to the Waorani (meaning ‘human beings’ or ‘the people’). Their language, Waoterero, has no relation with any other languages in the world and their origin is still a mystery for anthropologists. They are considered by other indigenous groups as “the fearless”.
Until 1956, they had never had any contact with the outside world.
The Waorani are outstanding hunters and feared warriors. Threatened by oil exploration and illegal logging, their hunter-gatherer society shifted to mostly living in settlements. They have a vast knowledge about their home, the Amazon Rainforest, which stems from a total reliance on the Natural world.
To preserve their culture and forests in a developing world, they have decided to open their doors and share their lives with visitors from around the world.
The Waorani Experience is a traveling camp, created to interact with an alternative society. An experiential journey designed to teach, share, empathize and awaken emotions.
A cultural immersion trip, to experience the real life of a group of hunters in the Amazon Rainforest.
Our mission is to awaken a Social and Environmental awareness of our clients and provide assistance and support to our partners, the Waorani communities throughout the Waorani territory.
